Abbi Falls

The Madikeri stream, also called Muttaramuttu, falls 21m between huge boulders to a deep rocky valley to form the picturesque waterfall called Abbi Falls. The British called it the Jessey Waterfall in memory of Jessey, the daughter of Madikeri's first chaplain.
Getting there: In the outskirts of Madikeri (Coorg district), Abbi Falls is situated in a private coffee estate. The narrow road in the coffee estate goes through a lot of steep ups and downs leading to a long hanging bridge from where one can have a splendid view of the Abbi falls.
